Founded in 1983, HESS International Educational Group upholds the business philosophy of “Integrity, Practicality, Innovation.” With over forty years of unwavering commitment to education and culture, our efforts have garnered widespread recognition. Our goal is to furnish the next generation with a more comprehensive and high-quality educational service and learning environment. We have sequentially established an education business system, a cultural business system, the HESS Educational Foundation, and ventured into the bakery and catering industry in 2014. Currently, we stand as the leading brand in children’s language education in Taiwan.

In addition to our steady growth and diversified operations in Taiwan, our services also span across China, South Korea, Vietnam, Japan, and other nations.

Global Talent

HESS employs over 3,000 Taiwanese staff members and more than 600 native-speaking teachers from nations including the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, South Africa, New Zealand, Australia, Japan, and France.

Robust R&D Team

Research and development lie at the heart of teaching. In 1987, we assembled dozens of local and foreign teachers to establish a dedicated teaching research and development team. They spearheaded the development of language learning materials tailored specifically for Asian learners, encompassing Chinese, English, Japanese, French, and other languages. Over the years, this effort has resulted in the creation of thousands of publications. Presently, approximately one in every four students nationwide uses HESS-developed materials for elementary English instruction, with a market share of nearly 28%. Moreover, HESS teaching materials are utilized internationally, including in Japan, South Korea, and China.

Professional Training Team

Teacher training is paramount for ensuring quality. The HESS Training & Development Center hosts hundreds of teacher training sessions annually. The content includes not only mastery of educational priorities but also sharing professional knowledge, exploration of child psychology, teaching techniques, and more. Through competency training and assessment, we ensure teaching excellence.

Enterprise history
